While WUTV will be closed for the summer we will be working hard over it to have a fast start on the Fall semester. Already we are brain storming ideas for TV shows and ways we can be even more involved in both the Wash. U. community and the St. Louis community. If you have any ideas for the new school year email us at wutv22@gmail.com. We love feed back. Also the WUTV space is going to be re-invented for the next semester. We are hoping to have streams throughout campus so we air KWUR programs, speakers, and sports games! Be excited.

WUTV is back in business, ladies and gentleman, planning a fantastic Fall season of programming for viewers all across the Wash U campus. Soon we’ll be all across the globe, too, through this website, our youtube/vimeo channels and our social network presences. To learn more about WUTV, check out this promotional video made by last semester’s WUTV staff, and always look out for us on our Facebook and Twitter pages for updates about upcoming programming and exciting WUTV-sponsored events like the two annual film festivals we host! New office hours for Fall 2011 have also been posted, so if you need help with anything, want to get involved, or want to rent equipment, come talk to us.

WUTV Closed for the Summer!

After this week, WUTV will officially be closed until August 2011! That means that after tomorrow, Friday, April 29th, there will no longer be weekly Office Hours. There will be NO rentals issued or continued during/through the summer, so if you have anything that needs to be returned to us, please bring it back immediately!

WUTV’s three graduating senior executives would also like to wish the classes of 2012-15 all the best of luck and hope that you’ll continue to make fantastic video content! We are so proud of your achievements thus far and look forward to seeing many of you again in the world of professional film-making!

Equipment Returns!

If you have any equipment checked out from WUTV, please return it by Wednesday, April 27th. If you absolutely need it beyond that point send us an email and we can discuss the situation. Thank you!

Premiere of short film “Diegenesis”

A premiere screening of a WUTV-sponsored short film titled “Diegenesis” will be held on campus Tuesday, May 3rd at 5:00pm in Seigle Hall, room L006. The event is free and popcorn/refreshments will be served. Feel free to bring your friends!

“Diegenesis” is a video short based on a short story of the same title. Shot in the St. Louis area with a cast of local actors, Jan Whitmoore’s (Victor Rogers) search for a killer leads him to unravel the mysteries of his own identity, as well as the eerily empty surroundings and a writer (Nathan Marcus Smith) who wants to document the hunt.

WUTV members Richard Satoru, Rachel Deitch, Matt Malis and Aaron Senser all helped produce this short film.
